A bucket of Dreams!
Why a Kid is So Happy?
Ever wonder why all children are so happy, why they wake up so early in the morning and lift the whole house on their heads with constant slogans of excitement and joy ?
Why the same child grows up to become us – so busy in our mundane choruses that we have no time for ourselves and do something exciting?
Why ?
Because somewhere in the process of becoming an adult from a kid, reality hit us. The open and free mind of a kid got chained up with constraints at each step, be it family, friends and social responsibilities or financial stability. Responsibilities took so much of our time that we didn’t have time for ourselves. With all the restrictions the inner jubilant kid died a slow but painful death.
BUT What if you wake up one day and find all the constraints, all the worries and all the chains that were holding you back have magical disappeared … What would you do ?
Here is a list of 5 things from my bucket list that I would do…
1. Quit my Job
“Do what you love and you would never have to work a day in your life” – Confucius
But unfortunately most of us are stuck in jobs that we never wanted to do. So first of all I will quit my mundane 9 to 5 desk job, buy a sandwich from the famous ‘sandwich place’ near my office, sit on the park bench facing a lake and enjoy the setting sun.
Next day I will buy a professional camera, join a photography class, become a nature and wildlife photographer – clicking through the amazing ‘moments of brilliance’, that nature has to offer.
2. Travel to all seven continents of the World
“The World is a book and those who do not travel read only one page” – St. Agustine
I want to make memories all over the world. Be it bustling streets of India, serene locations of Ireland, concrete jungles of Tokyo, Wilds of Africa, city life of New York and London, Beaches of Brazil, springs of New Zealand, northern lights of Norway, the pole of Antarctica and many more….
One can wonder that It doesn’t need magic to disappear – all it needs is a destination. In fact if traveling was free, You will never see me again.
3. Learn Swimming – swim in every ocean
“Swimming is a sport… everything else is just a game “
Swimming is a great sport. It rejuvenates your mind and soul. I always wanted to learn swimming but never got time and resources to learn the art. I would learn swimming and swim in every ocean of the world.
4. Experience skydiving and zero gravity – because I want to fly
“If dreams of flying are the last hope of freedom, I will pray for Wings with my last breath” – Steven Erikson
Why I want to fly ? … because its a symbol of freedom. I always wanted to feel like a bird, free from all earthly bindings and possessions. The feeling of air rushing past your ears as you fall towards earth is the best of feelings.
5. Volunteer for Charity:
“A man’s true wealth is the good he does in this World” – Muhammad (SAW)
There is no place on this earth that doesn’t need a Savior. You don’t need to be a Superman to help someone, even a small act of kindness can go a long way in helping someone. While traveling around the world I will regularly stop at places for charity work. My goal is to live my life in such a way that when I die, someone will say …. He cared !!!
